Data protection and privacy statement
The Black Canon Collective is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of its members and other contacts.
We are based in the UK and our principal purposes are to promote and encourage safe and responsible activities in relation to amateur mountain bike riding and trail building in the Longleat area and community participation in the same. See the Club Constitution for further information.
Email addresses
We collect email addresses from those who voluntarily sign up for membership. We will not sell or pass on these addresses to any other organisation, or use them for any other purpose ourselves that you have not agreed to.
Other personal data
We collect some personal details from members so that we can contact members, identify members and assist members in the event of an emergency when participating in club activities. We will pass on some details to the Longleat Estate (Name, Age, Photo) to enable Longleat to perform membership checks on-site. We will not pass on this data to any other organisation without your prior permission. We will never sell your data to any other organisation.
Our privacy policy is compliant with the UK Data Protection Act 1998.
Our website
Our website aims to provide information for members and non-members alike on the activity and organisation of the club. We include links to third party web sites and are happy for other sites to link to us, providing clear acknowledgement is made.
Information may come from a range of sources and where these are cited, the views expressed are those of the authors and not necessarily those of the Black Canon Collective.
We do not use cookies on our websites and you can access and browse them without disclosing your personal data. Anonymous information is collected, such as the number of visitors to the site in a given period, but it is purely statistical and cannot be used to identify individual users.
